Our mission

A designer preparing a paper bag for a client should not need a 3D rendering account to get a dieline. A freelancer invoicing a retail client should not have to verify an email address and dodge three upsells to download a one-page document. These are small, well-defined problems — and small, well-defined problems deserve small, precise tools.

VendorDesk exists to build those tools for independent businesses, digital designers and packaging specialists, and to keep them free of paywalls. Each tool does one job, does it properly, and gets out of the way.

How we build

Client-side by design

Every VendorDesk tool runs completely in your web browser. The die-line SVG is drawn by JavaScript on your machine; the Bill of Supply PDF is assembled on your machine. We have no server that receives your inputs, which means we cannot lose, leak or sell your packaging dimensions, client names or amounts — because we never have them.

Static and fast

The site is generated ahead of time as plain HTML and CSS. There are no frameworks hydrating on load, no chat bubbles, no cookie banners. Pages are typically interactive in well under a second on a mid-range phone, which is where most of our visitors are.

Honest about limits

Our tools are precise, but packaging tooling and tax documents both have consequences. We say so plainly on every tool page, we explain the maths and the rules we apply, and we ask you to proof a physical mock-up or talk to your accountant before you commit. See the terms of service.

• Freight Class Calculator — Calculate LTL freight class from dimensions and weight. Returns density, cubic feet and the NMFC class on the current 13-subprovision density scale introduced by Docket 2025-1.
• Dimensional Weight Calculator — Calculate dimensional weight and billable weight for UPS, FedEx and USPS, with the current whole-inch round-up rule and the USPS one-cubic-foot threshold applied correctly.
• Freight Class Chart — The full freight class chart: the current 13-subprovision NMFC density scale, the legacy 18-class table, and example commodities for every class from 50 to 500.
• NMFC Code Lookup — Search common LTL commodities to see whether each rates on density or carries a fixed class, and the class it typically lands at. Filters as you type.
• Bill of Lading Generator — Create a straight bill of lading for an LTL shipment and download the PDF free. Freight class and NMFC columns, freight charge terms, COD and declared value.
• Purchase Order Generator — Create a purchase order online and download the PDF free. Line items, tax and shipping, payment and FOB terms, and a running total as you type.
• Free Bill of Supply Generator — Create a GST-compliant bill of supply online and download the PDF free. For composition dealers, exempt supplies, restaurants under composition and small sellers below the GST threshold.
• Paper Bag Dieline Generator — Turn height, width and gusset into a print-ready SVG dieline with material-aware bleed, luxury or rustic folds and seamless sticker layout lines.

VendorDesk is built and maintained independently from India by people who have run small design and supply businesses themselves. It is not backed by a SaaS company and is not a lead-generation funnel for one. The project is supported by unobtrusive advertising so that the tools can stay free for everyone.
